Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide overprint varnish having excellent gloss and resistance to heat and water, etc., by using, as a vehicle, a reaction product between an alkoxysilane compd. and an org. compd. having a functional group reactive with the functional group of said alkoxysilane compd. CONSTITUTION:An alkoxysilane compd. (A) contg. a functional group (vinyl, amino, epoxy, isocyanate or mercapto group) is reacted with an org. compd. (B) having a functional group reactive with the functional group of compd. A (e.g. gamma-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane is reacted with an alkyl methacrylate) to obtain a reaction product having an MW of 3,000-400,000. This reaction product is used as a vehicle, and a solvent (e.g. methyl ethyl ketone or toluene), a curing accelerator (e.g. di-n-butyltin dilaurate), etc. are added thereto to obtain overprint varnish.
