FEEDING DEVICE OF BELTLIKE ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To cancel left and right shifting of a fed beltlike electrode by providing a pair of guide rollers that press both edges of a wide beltlike electrode and a feeding roller consisting of a main roller and a pair of subrollers. CONSTITUTION:Both edges of a wide beltlike electrode 10 for build-up welding pulled out from a reel 12 are pressed by a pair of guide rollers 32 to prevent left and right positional deviation. A feeding roller consisting of a main roller 20 that drives mainly central part of the electrode 10 and a pair of subrollers 22, 24 provided below the main roller and drive mainly left and right edges of the electrode 10 are provided below the rollers 32. Normally, rollers 22, 24 are rotated synchronously by driving motors 28, 30. Speed of rotation of rollers 22, 24 is adjusted according to left and right shifting of the tip of the electrode 10 to cancel the shifting. Then, after bending the electrode 10 in the direction of width by a bending roller 36, the electrode is passed through a feeding chip 34. Fillet welding is made on a base metal 16 and a bead 18 is formed.
