Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To decrease considerably slit cambers by arranging slit rolls which cut longitudinally a slab in multistage passes at which the depth of cut increases gradually and forming a dogbone to the non-cut edge of the cut slab then rolling the slab. CONSTITUTION:A pair of upper and lower slit rolls 11 are arranged in multistage passes and a continuously cast slab 12 is longitudinally cut at an optional width while hot in such a way that the depth of cut increases gradually. Then the slit camber is smaller as compared to the single pass arrangement of the rolls 11, but the slit bone D is larger. Thereupon, each longitudinally cut slab 12a is subjected to edging with caliber rolls 13, 13 of about 10-30 deg. groove angle alpha to form the dogbone E of the shape resembling to the slit bone D formed at the cut edge 14 of the slab 12a on the non-cut edge 15. Such slab 12a is cross- rolled with plural vertical rolls and is vertically rolled with plural horizontal rolls, whereafter the slab is finish rolled with multistage horizontal rolls. |
