Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To raise the speed of transfer recording, by a method wherein a surface supporting a heat-sublimable ink thereon is used as a heat-applying surface, in a transfer recording medium wherein a heat-sublimable ink is supported on a gas-permeable base by coating or the like. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sublimable ink 8 is applied onto the base 7 in a thin film form, or is so applied as to be infiltrated into the base 7, and a thin gas- impermeable film 9 is laminated on the surface of the ink 8. The base 7 side of the thermal recording medium is brought into contact with a recording paper 2, and the side on which the ink 8 is applied is disposed on the thermal head side. The thin film 9 consisting of a favorable heat conductor is heated by the thermal head, whereby the ink 8 is instantaneously sublimed, the thus sublimed ink passes through the gas-permeable base 7, and is transferred to the recording paper 2 making close contact with the base 7, thereby recording. Accordingly, the period of time required in a conventional system for heating the transfer recording medium and transmitting the heat through the medium to heat the ink to a subliming temperature is unnecessitated, and it can be contrived to enhance the recording speed.
