BENDING DEVICE OF WORK ROLL

PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which can maintain a balance state in the non-rolling stage by providing a balancing clinder to either one of two pairs of bearing boxes provided at both ends of a pair of upper and lower work rolls, and controlling the bending moment of the work rolls as deisred. CONSTITUTION:A bending device for work rolls is provided with respective two pairs of bearing boxes 3, 3a, 30, 30a at both ends of a pair of upper and lower work rolls 2, 2a and is provided with hydraulic cylinders 8, 80 and 9, 90 for bending between said boxes and the bearing boxes 5, 5a of backup rolls 4, 4a to perform effectively increasing and decreasing bending. A hydraulic cylinder 15 for balancing the work roll connected to an independent hydraulic circuit 16 is provided between said boxes 3 and 3a, in the above-mentioned bending device. Only the bending moment of the rolls 2, 2a is thus controlled while the contact between both rolls is maintained at all times with the specified balancing force.
