IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain simply a clear image by transferring a mobile hydrophilic dye released by heating in a state in which water is not practically contained to a dye fixing layer to form a dye image. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contg. photosensitive silver halide, a binder, an electron donator and/or an electron transferring agent capable of reducing photosensitive silver halide, and an immobile dye providing substance releasing a mobile dye by reduction with the donator and/or the transferring agent is formed on a support. When the photosensitive material is heated in a state in which water is not contained after or while carrying out imagewise exposure, a mobile hydrophilic dye is released, and the released dye transfers to a dye fixing layer to form a dye image. A silver image and said mobile dye at parts corresponding to undeveloped silver halide can be given at the same time only by heat development after imagewise exposure, so a clear image is obtd.
