STOREHOUSE IN WHICH PICKING IS ALLOWED

PURPOSE:To enhance work-efficiency by forming two article handling spaces at the end part of a shelf so that redepositing of an article for the preceding stage and discharging of an article for the following stage can be performed at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Two partitioned spaces located at the bottom end parts of a shelf 1 are formed into article-handling spaces 13 and 14. And the inner end of an picking conveyor of a chain conveyor type is placed over these article-handling spaces 13 and 14. The outer article-handling space 13 is provided with both an article receiving/discharging device 4 and an article-receiving stand 15 of a discharging elevator type, which is able to shift an article 8 between itself and a picking conveyor 10, which the inner article-handling space 14 is provided with an article-receiving stand 16 of a depositing elevator type, which functions in the same manner as the stand 15. Thus, by using the said two article-receiving stands properly, both redepositing of an article for the preceding stage and discharging of an article for the following stage can be performed simultaneously for efficient order picking of articles.
