CABIN MOUNT FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To improve the feeling of ride, by providing the front and rear portions of an elastic member with holes having a slender cross section and extending in the direction of the width of a vehicle, to reduce the shock in the longitudinal and vertical directions of the vehicle and the swing in its transverse direction. CONSTITUTION:A pair of holes 24, which have a slender cross section and extend in the transverse direction of a vehicle, are provided in the front and rear portions of an elastic member 16 so that the holes are located at both the sides of the cylindrical part 12b of an inner cylindrical member 12. The tops of the front and rear portions of the elastic member 16 are made stepwise lower than that of its central part. When a longitudinal force is received by a cabin on a cabin mount fitted with the elastic member 16, the member is hardly compressed but undergoes a shearing deformation in the main in the side portions, because of the holes 24. When a vertical force is received by the cabin, the inner cylindrical member 12 and an outer cylindrical member 14 are vertically translated relative to each other so that the elastic member 16 undergoes a shearing deformation.
