MICROWAVE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain a microwave device with miniaturization and improved performance by constituting a part of an H face wall of a rectangular waveguide with a shield case of MIC or a grounding plate of a dielectric base plate. CONSTITUTION:A filter circuit 4 is formed by sandwiching a microwave flat circuit 6 with a couple of split waveguide sections 5a, 5b having the shape of a rectangular waveguide and providing a short-circuit plate 5c to the right-most end of the waveguide sections 5a, 5b. A shield case 8 having a microwave integrated circuit (MIC) 7 is arranged above the waveguide sections 5a, 5b to form the upper side H plane wall and a signal is transmitted by the waveguide sections as rectangular waveguides so as to attain the filter operation. Then, a desired microwave signal transmitted in the filter circuit 4 is led to the MIC7 by a waveguide-microstrip line converting circuit consisting of the short-circuit plate 5c, a probe 9 and the surrounding waveguide.
