AUXILIARY DEVICE FOR SETTING SEAT BELT

PURPOSE:To obtain satisfactory handiness for setting a seat belt and easiness for getting on and off by a crew without changing a fixing point of the tip part of a seat belt by fitting a hook so as to slide freely in a guide part. CONSTITUTION:When a crew takes a seat 1 and closes a door 13, a door switch detects it and drives a motor 16 to move a hook 15 forward along a guide groove. The hook 15 catches a seat belt 6 or the way of its moving forward and moves the seat belt 6 forward and upward while engaging with it. Subsequently, through grasping the seat belt 6 and engaging a tang plate 11 with a buckle 12, said belt 6 is set on the shoulder and waist of the crew. In case of getting out of car, opening of the door is detected, and the motor 16 is rotated in the reverse direction to move the hook 15 backward, and the belt 16 is disengaged from the hook 15. Thus, the crew is not prevented from getting on and off.
