Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:A nylon 6 of a specific relative viscosity is spun into an undrawn yarn of low crystallinity and high optical birefringence, subsequently subjected to heat drawing under specific conditions to produce the titled yarn which is suitable for use in rubber reinforcement, because of its high dimensional stability and high economic efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A nylon 6 of 3.1-4.0 relative viscosity is made into a yarn at a speed of less than 2,000m/min to form an undrawn yarn of lower crystallinity and (20-45)X10 optical birefringence (DELTAn), then the undrawn yarn is subjected to 2 or less staged thermal drawing so that DELTAn becomes 55-62X10, and wound up at a speed of lower than 4,000m/min to produce a nylon 6 of high durability. The undrawn yarn is preferably solidified under conditions of pX1 in DELTAn=ASP (A is constant; S is spinning speed) and the solidification is effected by the horizontal air blowing and front face sucking method. |
