Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To wind up a cord uniformly over the whole area of the width of a winding reel without winding it overlapped by bringing said cord in contact with a cord guide and winding it while swinging in the lateral direction when winding up. CONSTITUTION:A cord reel consists of a freely rotatable winding reel 7, on which one end of a cord 8 is fixed and which is always kept energized to one direction by means of a power unit 9, a pair of reel cases 10, 11 which wall in this reel 7 and house the cord 8, and a cord guide 13 which is freely rotatably mounted on these cases 10, 11. When the cord 8 is rotatingly wound around the winding reel 7 by utilizing the restoring force of the power unit 9, the cord guide 13 rotates interlocked with the rotation of the reel 7, and further, the cord 8 is wound up while gradually shifting laterally by means of the cord guide 13. Thereby the cord 8 is wound without being overlapped, being uniformly wound over the whole area of the width of the winding reel 7.
