DISSOLVING METHOD OF RAW MATERIAL FOR PRODUCING IRON POWDER

PURPOSE:To extend the life of a high frequency furnace by charging a small amt. of a carburizing agent to a dissolved raw material for producing iron powder at a prescribed ratio by the weight of the total dissolved raw material at the temp. of the A1 transformation point or above and the specific temp. or below in the heating stage of the dissolved raw material charged in the stage of starting dissolving the raw material for producing iron powder. CONSTITUTION:For example, press scrap (material equivalent to SPCC specified in JIS) is charged approximately fully in a high frequency furnace having a prescribed output and frequency prior to starting of dissolution in the stage of dissolving a raw material for producing iron powder. The dissolution is started in this state and a carburizing agent (preferably in a granular shape) is sprayed and charged at
