Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve roasting efficiency and to economize the fuel required for roasting in a method for spray roasting of a liquid material by using the compressed air or steam which is preliminarily enriched with oxygen as a spraying medium for the liquid material to be subjected to the spray roasting. CONSTITUTION:The compressed air or steam which is preliminarily enriched with oxygen is used through a pipe 4 as a spraying medium for a liquid material to be subjected to roasting, such as a waste hydrochloric acid soln. produced from, for example, an installation for pickling iron and steel, in a method for spraying said liquid material via a pipe 1 and roasting the same in a roasting furnace 3. As a result, the improvement in roasting efficiency, the economization of the fuel required for the roasting and the suppression for the formation of NOx in the roasting furnace are attained. Since the temp. in the roasting furnace can be decreased, the thermal load in a combustion chamber is decreased and therefore the life of refractories is correspondingly extended.
