FILTER CLOTH TYPE DUST COLLECTOR

PURPOSE:To remove electric charges generated on collected granular bodies, and to prevent a dust explosion caused by spark discharge, etc., by coating an electroconductive paint on the filter cloth of a dust collector and grounding the cloth to the outside through a lead wire. CONSTITUTION:In a device for collecting granular bodies containing in a flow of gas, a conductive paint is coated on the surface of a filter cloth 11 attached to the outer periphery of a cylindrical body 9 to form a latticed conductive band. A lead wire 14 is connected to the conductive body 12 of cloth 11 by using an alligator clip 13 to ground the wire 14 to the outside. By this device, the electrostatic charges of the collected granular bodies are grounded from the conducting body 12 through the wire 14. Therefore, spark discharge caused by the electrostatic charges of the collected granular bodies is prevented. Accordingly, a dust explosion in a filter cloth type dust collector used for coals, etc. is prevented beforehand.
