TIP OF WELDING TORCH

PURPOSE:To obtain a titled tip in which the inside wall of a core wire path of a tip part is scarcely worn, and which is always capable of setting correctly the core wire tip to a prescribed position by constituting a tip part of the tip having the core wire path in its inside of a ceramic material which is an insulator and good in its resistance to wear, separately of the tip body. CONSTITUTION:A tip part 1a and a tip body 1 are screwed by an external thread 7 and an internal thread 6 provided on them, respectively, and the tip part 1a is fitted to the body 1. Accordingly, when supplying a core wire to a welding torch tip part, the core wire passes through in the tip, contacts with the inside wall of a core wire path 2 provided on the body 1, and as a result, the inside wall of the path 2 is worn gradually. However, the inside wall of a core wire path 2a of the tip part 1a constituted of a ceramic material whose resistance to wear is good is scarcely worn, and the core wire tip can always be set correctly in a prescribed position. Also, even if the tip part 1a contacts with an object to be welded by mistake at the time of welding, a welding current is not short-circuited since the tip part 1a is an insulator.
