Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To efficiently detect the anomaly on a supplied wire material by shielding the light flux which transmits from a projector to a light receiving sensor by the supplied wire material and detecting the pulse of said light receiving sensor and taking-out an anomaly signal when the cycle of pulse generation is outside the preset range of cycle. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of stays 5 are erected on a base 4, keeping a space larger than the outside diameter of a rolled wire material, and a projector 1 and a light receiving sensor 2 are installed onto the stays respectively. When a supplied wire material is taken-out from the rolled wire material 3 into a working machine, the light set between the projector 1 and the light receiving sensor 2 is shielded by the wire material. When entanglement, etc., are generated on the wire material in this case, light shielding cycle is disturbed. Therefore, the max. and the min. values of the light shielding cycle which are obtained from the supply speed of the wire material and the inside and outside diameters of the rolled wire material 3 are set in a timer beforehand. The case where the light shielding cycle within the above-described range is detected by a light receiving device, it is judged as ordinary state, and the case where the cycle is outside the max. or min. cycle is judged as abnormal state.
