Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost by disposing the engaging portion of a clutch between an input pulley and an engine, and operating same from the opposite side to an engine to reduce the axial dimension of a shaft and by eliminating the use of oil pressure to reduce the clutch mechanism to light weight and compact size. CONSTITUTION:A clutch mechanism 3 comprises an engaging portion 31 mounted between an input pulley 23 and an engine 1, an operation part 33 disposed on the other side of the input pulley for operating the engaging portion 31, and a push rod 35 inserted in a hollow of an input shaft 21. The push lever 331 is manually or automatically turned on a supporting point counter-clockwise to press the push rod 35 to the engine, and a pusher plate is pulled to the engine to release a clutch plate 323, thereby disconnecting a fly wheel 12 from an input shaft 2. In this arrangement, the axial dimension of the second shaft is reduced, and hydraulic control is not used to reduce the mechanism to light weight and compact size, resulting in reducing the manufacturing cost.
