Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:The titled curing agent of excellent storage stability which loses its color as the gelation or curing of resin proceeds and does not degrade the appearance of a product, comprising an organic peroxide and a specified red dye. CONSTITUTION:A colored curing agent is obtained by mixing an organic peroxide (e.g., methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) with 0.0001-5% red dye of formula II(wherein R1 is -C2H5 or a group of formula III, IV, V, or VI; R2 is -C2H4CN or -C2H5OH; X is -H or -CN). An unsaturated polyester resin or a vinyl ester resin is mixed with 1-2wt% above curing agent, and cured at room temperature or by heating. EFFECT:This colored curing agent loses its color gradually as the curing of the resin progresses and finally loses the color completely. It is therefore possible to facilitate the control by checking the course of curing by the extent of color loss.
