Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the desiliconizing oxygen efficiency by elevating the contact reaction rate of desiliconizing agent with hot metal, by a method wherein the hot metal is caused to fall and kneaded at the part different in level provided in the pig-iron runner after the desiliconizing agent is projected into the hot metal at the pig-iron runner and completely fused. CONSTITUTION:The hot metal is tapped into the pig-iron runner connecting to the tap hole 2 of blast furnace 1 and the slag is discharged from a slag runner 4 with a passing through weir 5 and an overflow weir 6. The desiliconizing agent is projected into the hot metal passed under the passing through weir 5 from a desiliconizing agent projecting part A. The projected desiliconizing agent is completely fused while it passes through the desiliconizing agent fusing area 7. Then, the desiliconizing agent and hot metal fall at the part different in level 8, being effectively kneaded and promote the desiliconizing reaction. Further, the hot metal is conducted to the pig-iron runner 10 by a passing through weir 5b and an overflow weir 6b and the desiliconized slag is discharged through a runner 9.
