MACHINING DEVICE FOR LEAD SURFACE

PURPOSE:To machine a lead surface in a highly accurate manner, by giving a slide table high rigidity, while compensating for the slide table even if it produces its displacement during machining. CONSTITUTION:A cutting tool (unillustrated herein) is attached to a lead machining unit 47 and installed in an X slide table 49 via a tool rest 48. Under the table 49, a Z slide table is installed. In order to drive the table 49, there are provided with DC motors 52 and 53, tacho-generator parts 54 and 55, and detection parts 56 and 57. A hydraulic unit 58 supplies a static hydraulic bearing part of a spindle 33 and a lead machining unit 47 with hydraulic fluid, while a numerrical control system 59 controls the unit 58 and a lead surface machining body 60.
