Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To prepare the titled resin having excellent water resistance, by mixing a stock oil of coumarone resin or a 9C petroleum resin with a specific amount of a distilled solvent obtained by removing the polymerized product after polymerization of the above stock oil, and polymerizing the mixture under specific condition in the presence of a strongly acidic ion exchange resin as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin having a viscosity of 2-30 poise is prepared by (1) mixing (A) 0.1-5% of the stock oil of coumarone resin or a 9C petroleum resin and (B) 99.5-95% of a distilled solvent (containing small amount of residual monomers and oligomers) obtained by polymerizing the stock oil in the presence of a catalyst (preferably a Friedel-Crafts catalyst), removing the catalyst, and removing the polymer by distillation, (2) polymerizing the mixture at 100-130 deg.C using 0.5-2% of a strongly acidic ion exchange resin as a catalyst, (3) removing the catalyst, and (4) evaporating the solvent. EFFECT:The separation of the catalyst can be carried out easily by the use of a strongly acidic ion exchange resin catalyst compared with phosphoric acid catalyst, etc. USE:Tackifier for rubber, oligomer for compounding to a paint, etc. |
