AQUEOUS LIQUID CONTAINING FAT-SOLUBLE VITAMINS

PURPOSE:An aqueous liquid containing fat-soluble vitamin E or K active substance that is prepared by adding hydrogenated lecithin as an emulsifier, thus showing little change in transmittance and degree of pigmentation with long- term stability. CONSTITUTION:Fat-soluble vitamin E active substance or fat-soluble vitamin K active substance and 0.1-15pts.wt., per 1pt. of the active substance, or preferably 1-5pts.wt. when a clear aqueous solution is desired, of hydrogenated lecithin are added to a small amount of water and heated up, perferably to 60-70 deg.C to effect uniform and preliminary dispersion, then other components and the rest of water are added to give the objective aqueous liquid of homogeneous dispersion. The hydrogenated lecithin preferably contains more than 85% of phospholipid and has an iodine value of 10-60, preferably 25-50, in particular, hydrogenated soybean lecithin is preferred. The use of 2-10% of a water-soluble solvent based on the liquid facilitates the preliminaly dispersion and the addition of 1-10% of isotonic agent prevents its injection solutions from formation of tubidity.
