Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To increase friction force of a feed roller with sheets by providing two or more V-notches in every projection of the bellows-shaped periphery of the feed roller, where the positions of notches shall vary from one another. CONSTITUTION:Sheets 1 of paper are placed in a hopper 2 and pressed to a pickup roller 3 by the pressure of a sheet pushing part 2-1. When a photo- reader device is put in operation, said roller 3 will rotate to feed the sheets 1 to a feed roller 6. The sheets 1 are sent to a read part through the action of a pushing pad 5 and said feed roller 6. Here the feed roller 6 is given an outside configuration of bellows in order to increase frictional force, and each projection 61 of bellows is provided with two or more V-notches 6-1 varied in locations from one projection to another. Thereby friction between the notches 6-1 and the surface of sheets 1 will repeat from dynamic to static friction and vice versa to ensure an increased friction force.
