FORMATION OF UNDERGROUND CONTINUOUS RIGID WALL AND REINFORCING BAR CAGE COUPLING METAL THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of construction work by a method in which reinforcing bar cage is set between coupling metals erected in a trench, both ends of the cross reinforcing bars are connected to the coupling metals, and concrete is placed into the trench. CONSTITUTION:Coupling metals 1 are erected on both ends of a trench A, and a filling material 8, e.g., cement mortar, etc., is pressingly charged into the expanded part 3. A reinforcing bar cage 11 is erected between the coupling metals 1 by coupling the couplers 13 provided to the cross reinforcing 12 of the cage 11 with the lip groove-shaped coupler 2 of the coupling metals 1. A filling material 8, e.g., cement mortar, etc., is packed into a shield tube 4 in a protective cover 5 to expand the tube 4 to close the open ends of the coupled part 2, and the inside of the coupled part 2 is cleaned by high-pressure jet of fresh water and then filled with the filling material 8, e.g., a high-strength expandible grout material. A trengh B is excavated connectedly to the trench A, and same processes are repeated to construct a continuous wall.
