Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To composition for oral cavity for preventing effectively deactivation of germicide, obtained by adding a higher alcohol to a composition using both a cationic germicide and a nonionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:A composition for oral cavity using both a cationic germicide, e.g., biguanide germicide such as chlorohexidines, and a monionic surface active agent, e.g., a higher fatty acid ester of sugar or sugaralcohol such as sucrose, maltose, lactitol, etc. is blended with 0.1-10wt% 10-20C fatty alcohol (especially preferably lauryl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol) based on the total amount of the composition. The amount of the other two components blended are 0.001-0.5wt% germicide and 0.05-3wt% surface active agent based on the total amount of the composition.
