TEST SLIDE FOR DIAGNOSIS AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a test plate which is easy to handle and can detect easily a trace of antibody (antigen) with high sensitivity by modifying the surface of an embossed thermoplastic resin sheet to make the surface hydrophilic and coating an aq. inert carrier sensitizied with the antigen (antibody) on said surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an embossed resin sheet formed by injection molding a thermoplastic resin with a mold having an embossing construction or sandblassing the resin plate or the like is made hydrophilic by flame spraying of gaseous propane or corona discharge treatment. A test slide for immunochemical diagnosis having a part 2 subjected to the hydrophilicity imparting treatment on part or the entire surface is thus obtd. Polystyrene latex 3 of, for exmple, 0.1-1.0mu particle size sensitized with an antigen or antibody is coated on such slide and is freeze dried, whereby a test plate for diagnosis is obtd. The inexpensive test plate for throw-away use which can detect easily the antibody (antigen) is thus obtd.
