Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:Cellulosic ester, a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol as a plasticizer, and a polyether containing glycerol are mixed and subjected to melt spinning and the additives are extracted by treating the resultant fiber to give the titled fiber suitable for use in artificial kidneys, because of its high fractionating characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Cellulosic ester such as cellulose diacetate is mixed with a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol such as polyethylene glycol and polyether containing glycerol as at least one of residual groups, which act as plasticizers. The mixture is subjected to melt spinning into filaments by extruding it out through the outer nozzles and passing a nitrogen gas through the inner nozzles in a double-tube spinneret. Then, the product is treated to extract the polyhydric alcohol and the polyether to give the objective hollow fiber.
