PRINTER

PURPOSE:To cause a printer to perform both letterpress or planographic printing directly on a material to be printed by means of a printing plate on a plate cylinder, and offset printing on the same by using an additional blanket cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Under such a condition wherein a bearing 4 whereby a revolving shaft 2 of a blanket cylinder 1 is supported is removed from a truck 60, when the truck 60 is reciprocated by a drive means 30, a pinion 41 meshes with No. 1 rack 40, and thereby a plate cylinder 10 is rotated and prints directly an image on a material 56 to be printed. Under such a condition wherein the blanket cylinder 1 is installed, when the drive means 30 is operated, the plate cylinder 10 is rotated by the mesh of a pinion 41 and No. 2 rack 50, and the blanket cylinder 1 is also rotated by the mesh of the pinion 42 of the plate cylinder 10 and a pinion 3 for blanket and by this, offset printing is carried out.
