Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:The cultivation of microorganism in Micromonospora gives demyssinosyl-mycinamicin IV showing antibiotic activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as mycoplasma. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism in Micromonospora, capable of producing demyssinosyl-mycinamycin IV, e.g., Micromonospora sp. A11725 (FERM-4488) is inoculated in an enriched medium and cultured aerobically at 20-37 deg.C, preferably 26-30 deg.C for 4-5 days and the demyssinosyl-mycinamicin of the formula is collected from the culture mixture.
