DISPLAY

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of displays and to display a TV sound multiplex broadcast effectively by using two displays and displaying a main channel and a subchannel reception mode, and driving two displays at the same time in both-channel reception mode. CONSTITUTION:A TV sound multiplex broadcast receiver is provided with a mode changeover switch S1 and every time it is turned on, a switching signal A is generated and inputted to a shift register 21 through a chattering preventing circuit 20. Output terminals G, H, and I of respective stages of the register 21 correspond to those of matrix circuit 10. Those terminals G, H, and I are connected to he 1st and the 2nd displays 28 and 29 through diodes 22-25 and transistors R26 and R27. When the matrix circuit 10 performs reception over the main channel, that is displayed on the display 28 and when it receives the subchannel signal, it is displayed on the display 29. When both channel signals are received, they are displayed on the displays 28 and 29 simultaneously and the number of displays is decreased.
