Then, the reaction with carbon disulfide is carried out at -10-60 deg.C to form a dithiocarbaminic acid of formula II (the first-stage reaction). Then, the reaction mixture is heated at 45- 150 deg.C (the second-stage reaction) to give 2-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole of formula III.
