Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To recover interferon, in high yield, by contacting an interferon with an inorganic adsorbent in a highly concentrated salt solution, and eluting the adsorbed interferon with an eluent. CONSTITUTION:An interferon is made to contact with an inorganic adsorbent in a highly concentrated salt solution to effect the adsorption of the interferon to the adsorbent. The adsorbed interferon is eluted with an eluent. The interferon is, e.g. originated from interferon-producing microorganisms, human fibroblast cells, mouse cells, etc., and the salt in the solution is sulfate, chloride, phosphate, etc. The salt concentration is >=0.05M, preferably 0.5-1.5M. Too high concentration of the salt results in the precipitation of the interferon by salting out. The pH of the solution is 5-8, preferably 6.5-7.5.
