Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent coloration of emulsion, by adding a specified amount of an aqueous water solution of hydrazine to an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion when the pH of the emulsion is to be adjusted to 7 or higher by the use of a basic compd. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of hydrazine (e.g. hydrazine, hydrazine hydrate and sulfate or hydrochloride of hydrazine) is added in an amount of 0.05-1pt.wt. in terms of hydrazine to 100pts.wt. (in terms of solid content) ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer emulsion (pref. having an ethylene content of 5-50wt%) when the pH of the emulsion is adjusted to 7 or higher by using a basic ompd. The addition may be done simultaneously with or immediately after and most preferably prior to the addition of the basic compd. to the emulsion.
