SCREW CUTTING MACHINE FOR PIPE

PURPOSE:To obtain a simple revolution mechanism of a cam ring and reduce the time for preparation by controlling the turn of a cam ring for feeding the chaser of a die head by an NC apparatus for feedback of the revolution of main shaft. CONSTITUTION:A die head device is arranged on a carriage which holds a pipe to be worked and is fed by a lead screw driven by a motor, in the direction of axis line of a rotating main shaft. A cam follower 67 which is installed on a chaser holder 69 which slides in the radial sliding groove 71 of a die head body is inserted into a sprial cam groove 72 formed on a cam ring 73. A gear 76 is formed on the outer periphery of the cam ring and revolved by a worm-wheel 79 driven by a servomotor. Each servomotor for driving a lead screw and the cam ring revolves at a programmed speed, synchronized with the revolution of the main shaft by an NC apparatus.
