Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To permit cutter exchanging works on a slitter for band steel to be executed in a short time by incorporating a new cutter and a spacer in the slitter. CONSTITUTION:Another dolly and another slitter A loaded on said dolly are prepared on a rail 16. A new cutter 6 and a spacer 7 are incorporated in this slitter A beforehand. Therefore, the slitter A which is removed from on a buss- line and loaded onto a dolly 17 is placed at the other edge of the rail 16, and another slitter on another dolly in which a new cutter and a spacer are incorporated is transferred onto a rail 1 and then can be fixed on he buss-line, and thus replacement of cutter can be performed in a short time.
