ELECTRONIC MULTIFUNCTION CLOCK

PURPOSE:To make a clock multifunctional with ease by inputting various informations from a removable-type information input device through the intermediary of a connector of the clock. CONSTITUTION:Input terminals of an input circuit 8 are connected to connectors C1-Cn-1 of a connector unit 14 through the intermediary of input terminals LN1-INn-1 of IC, respectively. In addition, a connector Cn is provided also for an interrupt circuit 9. The connectors C1-Cn are mounted on a clock module 17 so as to connect a removable-type information input device 12 to the circuits 8 and 9. An interrupt request is made for CPU1 through the circuit 9 without any particular restriction. Thereby message data or musical-scale data formed by the operation of a switch group of the device 12 are written in RAM3. The clock can be made also to conduct a computing operation similar to that of an electronic desk calculator by the operation of the device 12 in the state wherein CPU1 is connected to the device 12.
