FLOATING BREAKWATER

PURPOSE:To break diffractive tidal wave in the first wavebreaker by means of the second wavebreaker having a slender form in which wavebreaking plates are extended from the peripheral lower part and the end section on the incoming water side is shaped into a plane-triangular acute angle. CONSTITUTION:A floating breakwater consists of the first wavebreaker 3 arranged along the orthogonal direction to the advancing direction of incoming wave and the second wavebreaker 4 arranged along the advancing direction A of the incoming wave, connected loosely between the first wavebreaker 3. The first wavebreaker 3 is divided into sections (a)-(c) by partition walls 5 and 6, consisting of air pipes 8 and 9 to regulate the coming and going of air and a bottomless float 10. The second wavebreaker 4 consists of a small long-bar body 11 and a wave-breaking plate 12 extended from the peripheral lower part of the small long-bar body 11, having a plane-triangular acute angle on the end section to be attacked by the incoming wave. The incoming wave attacking the acute angle section goes in the skew direction, interferes with each other, and rides on the water-breaking plate 12, whereby breaking the tidal wave.
