CONSTITUTION:Paper 2 on a cassette 1 is sent to a resist roller 7 by a paper feed roller 4. Plural sensors 9b.10b are provided at a transporting guide 5a in the direction orthogonal to the transporting dierection and the light of light emitting elements 9a.10a opposing to each other is received. Oblique feeding of paper from a time lag of a sensor detecting period, overlap feeding from the amount of light to be detected jamming from continuation of detection, a delay in feeding and a failure in feeding from the time ranging from an instruction and from the presence of the detection are detected, respectively.
