OXYGEN CONCENTRATION DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a low cost detector while simplifying the construction by forming a thin-film like porous electrode on the outer and inner surface sides of a solid electrolytic element which is shaped like a cup with one end thereof closed and the other end thereof opened. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolytic element 11 of a detector is shaped like a cup with one end thereof opened and the other end thereof (the tip of the detecting section) closed. The solid electrolytic element 11 is made up of an oxygen ion conducting metal oxide. A ring-shaped expanded section 11a is formed on the central circumference of the elements 11 and a ring-shaped seat section 11b on the open-end side of the inner circumference to reduce the diameter. A first thin- film-shaped porous platinum electrode 12 is formed on the inner surface of the element 11. Thus, a low cost detector is obtained with a simple construction.
