COMPENSATING CIRCUIT FOR SHARPNESS

PURPOSE:To obtain a picture with high quality, by peaking a signal component of a prescribed frequency band in response to the signal component. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from a terminal 9 is applied to a delay circuit 10 and a BPF11. A peaking circuit 15 consists of resistors R4, R5, a variable circuit 14, and reactors L2, L3. The BPF11 has a pass band at a frequency band of peaking at the circuit 15. The level of the output of the BPF11 is adjusted at a resistor 12, the output is applied to a level detection circuit 13, where the level of high frequency is detected. The output of the circuit 13 controls the resistance value of the resistor 14. A signal delayed at the circuit 10 is applied to a transistor 2 of the circuit 15.
