INSTRUMENT PANEL FOR CAR

PURPOSE:To permit only the injured protective pad to be exchanged simply when the protective pad is injured by installing the protective pad in freely detachable way along the rear edge angle part of a panel body. CONSTITUTION:The protective pad 26 in projected bank form is installed along a radio, heater switches 23, the upper part of a globe box 24, except the rear edge part 25 of an instrument panel body 20, namely the hood part 22 in which instruments 21 are arranged. The pad 26 consists of the pad member 28 which is formed into the inverted U-figure crosssection and equipped with the vacant space part 27 inside and the insert plate 29 arranged in the pad member 28, and the hook parts 30 and 31 projected from some parts of the both edge surfaces, of the insert plate 29, and the hook parts 30 and 31 are locked with the panel body 20. The hook part 31 is inserted into the insertion groove 33 formed on the upper surface part 32 of the body 20 and fixed through bending, and the hook part 30 is inserted into the insertion groove 35 and fixed from the front side part 34 by use of a tapping screw 36.
