Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of purifying water in a simplified process, by introducing the water to be purified, which has been flowed down by a head over weirs provided with partition plates which can be overflowed, into a water- running passage where aquatic plants are grown is specified intervals. CONSTITUTION:Bottomless rectangular frame members 1 are provided, and water to be purified is let successively flow from upperstream toward downstream through a plurality of weirs 3 provided with partition plates 2 enabling for the water to overflow, to remove turbid substances in the water to be purified. The water to be purified having flowed down through the weirs 3 as shown in the arrows W is passed through a narrow water-running passage 5 where aquatic plants 4 are grown and withdrawn as purified water through an outlet pit 12 provided at the end. The aquatic plants 4 are preferably grown with a distance of about 15-30cm apart from each other. After the foundation 6 is formed on the bottom inside the frame member 1, a layer of sand 7 is formed, and the aquatic plants 4 are planted in the layer of sand 7. |
