VARIABLE POWER COPYING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To enable 3 kinds of magnifications to be selected, by enabling setting the side end of an image to the desired position in action of changing magnification. CONSTITUTION:An original O is supported on a movable original placing plate 11 is illuminated with a lamp 12. The light reflected from the original O is reflected with mirrors 13, 14, 15 is succession, passed through a focusing lens 16, reflected with a mirror 17, passed through a slit 2, and cast on a photoreceptor P. The mirrors 14, 15 and the lens 16 are moved to the positions corresponding to the selected magnification, respectively, during the operation of changing magnification, but when the optical original image is cast on the photoreceptor P, said mirrors and said lens are held still at the position corresponding to the selected magnification. When the optical image is cast through the slit to the photoreptor P, the plate 11 is moved in the arrow direction, and the original is scanned. The speed of the plate 11 moving in the arrow direction is changed in accordance with the selected magnification. When original scanning is finished, the plate 11 returns rapidly to the initial position.
