WELDING DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC WELDED STEEL PIPE

PURPOSE:To permit quick changing over of welding at different frequencies by making one output transformer movable in a vertical direction and making the other output transformer movable in the direction at a right angle to a pass line. CONSTITUTION:In the case of changing over welding to different frequencies, first the feed conductors of the 1st output transformer 20 are separated from flexible conductors 33a, 33b, and a rope 25 is wound up by operating a winch, thereby moving the 1st output transformer 20 upward. A moving device 46 for the 2nd output transformer 39 in a forward and backward direction is operated to rotate a screw bar 43 via a chain 45, so that a mounting base 40 having a projecting piece 44 screwed to said bar is moved in an arrow direction 53. Then the work coil 12 of the transformer 39 arrives at the position of a pass line, the movement is stopped, and the feed conductors are connected by finely adjusting the positions of the transformers in lateral, transverse and vertical directions with the devices 46, 48, etc., whereby the setting of the transformer 39 is completed.
