Zusammenfassung:In a copying apparatus controlled by means of a digital computer (11-13), at least the adjustment and correction switches (12) of the digital computer, which are to be operated exclusively by a service technician, are arranged underneath an apparatus cover (5) which can only be opened by means of a special tool and which controls a diagnostic switch (16-18). As a result, the selection, occurring by means of a code to be entered at the operating keyboard (2) of the apparatus, of a diagnostic or maintenance program which should not be accessible to the normal user of the apparatus, is only possible when the apparatus cover (5) is opened. When the apparatus cover (5) is closed, the entire operating program of the copying apparatus is automatically set back into its initial state.
