Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A composition for metallic working or working fluid, prepared by emulsifying or solubilizing a mineral oil, etc. in a polyhydroxy compound (aqueous solution thereof) in the presence of a surfactant, having improved stability with time, and emulsifiable and dispersible easily in water. CONSTITUTION:A composition prepared by adding preferably 30-70wt% oil, synthetic oil and/or fat or oil in a polyhydroxy compound, e.g. propylene glycol, or an aqueous solution thereof in the presence of a protein, e.g. sodium caseinate, or a hydrolyzate thereof and/or surfactant slowly under warming, and emulsifying or solubilizing the mineral oil, synthetic oil and/or fat or oil.
