CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation flow of the molten steel charged into a mold through an immersion nozzle by detecting the respective temps. of a pair of opposed members which form the mold and changing the position of a stopper for the immersion nozzle in accordance with the result thereof. CONSTITUTION:The temps. of the water passing through supply pipes 6a, 6b and discharge pipes 7a, 7b for cooling water mounted to a pair of short side members 4a, 4b of a mold 4 are measured. The results thereof are inputted to a dtector 10 for temp. differences and in accordance with the results of the operations, a position controller 11 changes and controls the postion of a stopper 3. Thus the temp. differences between the members 4a, 4b are eliminated and the deviation flow of the molten steel in the mold 4 is eliminated.
