METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MOLDING OF MOLD

PURPOSE:To produce a mold automatically and efficiently by grasping a lower molding flask and an upper molding flask by means of a matching plate into one body, turning over and moving the three, and compressing and packing molding sand successively onto the lower molding flask and the upper molding flask. CONSTITUTION:A lower squeezing board 3 and a lower molding flask 6 are supported on the top surface of a frame supporting member 5 and are moved upward by the operation of a squeezing cylinder 2 until both are superposed on a matching plate 18 having pattern surfaces 18a on top and bottom surfaces and an upper molding flask 9, which are then clamped to one body by means of clamping devices 21. The three are supported by bearing parts 27, and are turned over and moved 180 deg.. Molding sand is charged into the flask 6 through a chute 41 and a carriage 32 is moved over the flask 6. After compressed air is supplied, the molding sand is preliminarily squeezed. Then the three are turned over and the molding sand is packed in the flask 9 as well. In grasping with the board 3 and upper squeezing board 35, the molding sand is compressed and molded to the prescribed hardness of the mold. While the three are moved downward, the flask 9, the plate 18, and the flask 6 are separated successively, and the top and bottom mold parts are removed successively.
