MAGNETIC RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent cross talk and to improve the recording density, by using different frequench for adjacent tracks, in writing a magnetic recording medium having a plurality of tracks. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disc has a plurality of tracks, and writing is done for tracks of an even number in a frequency f0 and for tracks of an odd number in a frequency f1. A signal picked up at a head 1 is amplified at an amplifier 2, and two types of band pass filters 3, 4 are arranged. The switching of the two filtes 3, 4 is done through changeover switches SW1 and SW2 under commands of a control signal system (not shown) and the result is made binary at a decoder 5. Thus, signals from adjacent tracks can be eliminated and the track density can be improved independently of cross talk.
